Van Strikes Central Jersey School Bus, Driver Wanted In Hit-And-Run: Police

Marlboro Township police are looking for whoever struck a school bus in a hit-and-run crash, authorities said.

A white Ford commercial van hit the mirror of a school bus at around 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Mar. 21, a Marlboro police spokesperson said. The van left the scene of the crash at the intersection of Route 79 and Newman Springs Road (county route 520).

The bus driver and the eight students from a Marlboro elementary school were not injured. A school nurse went to the crash scene and checked all of the students as a precaution.
